The following series of posts are a culmination of time and ideas put in to song form. I spent a bunch of time on this because I wanted it all to be just right. You see, in the past, I talked about my idea for a tech eutopia, as I am a technocrat at heart, and I love imagining how I would want technology to progress over the next few decades. This series of songs outlines my vision for a tech eutopia better than I could put in to words, and I hope you enjoy, as it certainly wasn't easy to get it right, but I think I managed it well enough. The world better hope I never get power, because if I do, I will create a world unlike the one Dr. Eggman invisioned. Indeed, I would create a technological paradise unlike anything that the world has ever seen. All of our lives would be filled with tech the world could as of now, never imagine. I would change one thing though, one thing that is flawed, basically as chaos emeralds do not exist in this world, instead, my technology paradise would see fossil fuels become absolutely illegal. I would enforce this law through the usage of AI and robotic technology that would automatically find and imprison people who mine or work in the fossil fuel industry. I would only accept Nuclear Fission, Solar, Wind, or any renewable energy source as legal ways to run my paradise. I would also use AI to invest heavily in the creation of long-sustaining fusion reaction technology that would be able to be used to harvest power for use in every day technology for all households in my paradise. That's right, I believe in Dr. Eggmaan's vision for the future in terms of him wanting a technological paradise, but instead of enslaving animals, I would recreate his vision with the use of renewable energy. His vision has a big flaw in that oil will eventually run out, and his oil ocean will not exist forever, so its up to me to imagine that paradise, that eutopia, in a way that would last for thousands of years after I am dead. #Sonic #Technology #Technocrat #Eutopia

La dernière lettre #Dixit du copain @sylvaingrisot interroge la sous-occupation des logements en France. Ils sont plus de 7Mio - principalement des maisons, un peu partout sur le territoire - à être occupés par moins de personnes qu'ils ne pourraient en accueillir. On parle de la maison familiale dans laquelle vit toujours mamie, souvent loin de commodités.

It's not how it's generally used, but In my head canon #eutopia is distinguished from a #utopia by the dynamic change. As a utopia is stagnant unchanging, perfect and final, the eutopia keeps changing. I'm calling #UsrulaLeGuin #dispossessed an eutopia because it was defined by the infinitely burning #revolution within a revolution.
An eutopia might be easier to write because it can have its own 'character arc'. I think this approach can unlock a lot of the #solarpunk creativity. Writing utopia is hard.

@notspookypip we have to work on correcting our usage of #utopia and as I understand from you, we also must start using more #eutopia word, however, I guess, when a collectivity gives a lot of meaning to a word in a deviant from the original way we encounter this problem: we will have to explain all the times, that we wanted to mean eutopia... (Something nice and reachable, if I understood your text...)
On the other side, is better that #utopias, don't happen as they were thought in the beginning. I will give you an example. It comes from my training on lucid dreaming It also come from my disagreement with most of the people who are engaged into practicing #lucid #dreaming:
There is a sort of dogma about having plans that we want to DO when we get Lucid with control inside a dream: it's having an #oniric #plan
In order to have nice lucid dreams many people make a sort of plan or a story about what they want to dream. Many people are so attached to their first plan, that they don't get grateful for obtaining a lot of wisdom from other type of dreams or from changed versions of their plan on lucid dreams. So they are blind to recognize that their subconscious mind created a better version of the plan, that fits more with the synchronisms of the complexity of the universe (in this case oniric). The productivity concept even goes to the dreaming activity for certain practitioners of astral projection and lucid dreaming.
There is another problem of utopia: if it is not designed in a #participative way, then is an #utopia for some of the members of that collectivity, but not for all. Some utopias could be dystopian for someone else... The designers of the #utopias and #eutopias should avoid messianic ideas/ behaviors, or thinking that they know better what everyone needs.
The characteristic of utopia as something that keeps in the realms of the world of ideas (the one of Plato), is a sort of anchor that keep us moving after finding good results close to the goals.... It is better that utopía is "unreachable": if the end of the race moves forward, we keep running. Is not bad to go for more. Robert Monroe, got bored in the #paradise because it was #stagnant.
On my current view, the capacity to be grateful, with the #eutopias, on the infinite way to #utopia, is a great source of happiness. And yes #happines exists, and is very very close to each of us but we lost the capacity to feel it. We need to study more, Marilyn Monroe's #wisdom... Yes one person who suicided can't teach a lot about #happiness... We are also seeing this phenomena in kids from Palestine... Who are able to be grateful, of things that for most of us, look like hell. One of the pillars of happiness, eutopia and utopia is explicit and loud #gratitude.
I am not romanticizing war, i'm just in "aw" when I see some people in the worst circumstances, showing the best side humanity. Maybe we have to invent #microeutopias to face those ones spreading #dystopia everywhere....
@fhouste @flomaraninchi Pour le coup, #Eutopia traite de ce sujet sans le traiter, en décrivant un monde où pleins de choses (technologiques, mais pas que) ne sont plus là du tout, et personne ne s'en émeut. Il frôle même le sacrilège en racontant le démantèlement d'un champ éolien offshore.
