good video intro to ecosocialist organizing against fossil capital. Although I don't agree on all elements, imo, the thrust of the video is spot on and can be summed up as follows:A
1. Capitalism will not solve the climate crisis;
2. Ultimately, some kind of social revolution will be needed to attain an ecosocialist society;
3. For this, a broad movement of movements, centered on the organized working class will be needed;
4. A leadership of dedicated activists coming from, accountable to, and iteratively engaging with the movement is also needed;
5. For such a movement to be built, we must foster deep connections with each other, while combating oppressive ideologies and alienation fostered by the ruling class;
6. Such a movement should fight for attainable victories, especially given the immediacy of the climate crisis, while also struggling for "non-reformist reforms" and other measures that point to the overthrow of capitalism and mobilize working people in that direction;
7. We should also build those deep connections for and through efforts in organizing mutual aid that can sustain our communities through the waves of climate disaster;

None of this is new, but in this primer, seemingly directed to a climate activist audience, Our Changing Climate lays out the case in a reasonable and convincing manner, and provides numerous examples of how aspects of such organizing, both successes and failures, have already been accomplished. The video is part of a series including videos on Ecosocialism, Degrowth, Fossil Fascism and other topics. They do some fundraising for pet projects at the end, which you can take or leave.

When you know it's dark why suggest it then?
There are options that respect human rights. Letting people die knowingly can never be no option. In fact that's what's happening right now as we type: Because a few people cannot let go of their luxurious lifestyle and system is designed to make them even richer (moneywise) people die in other parts of the wourld.

Science have known this #ecocrisis for decades but politicians have missed out on #ActNow and #TellTheTrueth
