I’ve been reading the manuals for #Palantir’s #Elite deportation software, alongside Victor Klemperer’s #LTI. The parallels are chilling.
Klemperer wrote that fascist language acts like "tiny doses of arsenic"—swallowed unnoticed until the toxic effect sets in.
The manual talks about human deportations as "Create Leads," "Targets," & "Enforcement Queues."
When we apply the language of a sales funnel to destroying human lives, we create the moral distance necessary for dehumanization.
