I learned many years later that the video game was an adaptation of the board game released in 1973 in the UK 🇬🇧
The game was designed in part by a former prisoner of war who escaped from Colditz, the Major Patrick R. Reid 🎖️

Also came across this treasure trove in the loft too ♥️ Again boxed and near mint #EscapeFromColditz, #HeroQuest & #SpaceCrusade board games and a #N64 CD-ROM drive which attached to the cartridge slot of your N64 and allowed you to play the 'backed up' game ROM's via CD, also in the box was every single N64 game produced over 10 or so CD-R's. Happy 'retro' days lol 😜 This means there's an N64 somewhere...but where? Hmmmm....
