Going by #exodusprivacy , the #dwd Warnwetter app has more trackers and requires more permissions.

Warnwetter is #afaik not #opensource, but a proprietary product. You can't get it eg. from #fdroid .

It requires you to pay a one-time-registration fee to get weather forecasts, the free version only covers the weather warnings.

Although Warnwetter isn`t bad at all, it is not a #floss app , but a proprietary product.

J'ai appelé le service client, j'ai indiqué que ma grand-mère a un téléphone adapté (avec de grosses touches et pas d'Android) et j'ai demandé s'il fallait qu'elle change de banque.

Réponse : « il sera possible de demander une dérogation pour contourner le problème »

Sur mon #fairphone6, dans la partie Advanced Privacy (j'adore cette fonctionnalité !!!), je retrouve sur plusieurs applications un traqueur « asnapieu.com » et j'arrive pas à savoir ce que ça peut bien être, on ne peut pas cliquer dessus pour accéder à un descriptif sur #ExodusPrivacy, il n'est pas répertorié.
J'ai cherché ailleurs mais je ne trouve rien de très explicite ou de très probant.
Quelqu'un a une idée sur ce que c'est ?

Die beiden "Positiv"-Fälle sind wenig überraschend: #Apple hat die ausufernde Datensammelei nicht ganz so dringend nötig, da das nicht Teil des Kerngeschäfts ist, und #Google braucht seinen Kuchen mit niemandem zu teilen, da sie selbst marktbestimmend im Bereich #Werbung sind.

Und ja, ich weiß, Tracker kann man nicht so einfach zählen: Manche Komponenten mögen gar nicht wirklich aktiv oder drin sein, manche nur als Opt-In oder Out, zu verschiedenen Zwecken. Dennoch eignet sich das als Indikator dafür, wie datenhungrig die meisten Plattformen leider sind. 😕

Probando el editor #Lightcut en Android he quedado con la impresión de que si bien la app no lleva rastreadores por defecto (según #ExodusPrivacy) los descarga e instala posteriormente. Sin conectarla a internet la app es esencialmente un fondo de pantalla blanco y sin darle permiso al almacenamiento no admite medios ni compartiéndolos desde otra app

#Fediplan has been submitted to #Fdroid. It was interesting to see that some basic official libs bring some Google Play Service dependencies.
They were removed and we proceeded differently. Not a big issue.
We also tested the apk though #ExodusPrivacy and no trackers were found.

I'm looking for a document scanner app for #GrapheneOS (photo to PDF, preferably with auto-cropping and similar features) where I don't sell my soul. I've been using SwiftScan so far, but that's crammed with 20 trackers according to Exodus Privacy. I'm happy to pay for apps, no problem, but I'm not a fan of subscriptions, I rarely use them.
