MIDI has been on my mind since at least May of 2024. Here's a recap of the timeline of things I've accomplished:

#midi #vintageapple #macintosh #macplus #foenix #f256k #f256k2
#F256K #F256K2 #Foenix I added SID and PSG control to my #MIDI controlled C jam session program

Gonna keep posting some #F256K content because cool things like these keep coming up
Weekend game Jam right before Halloween
Finally had time to play a game of Star Trek on the #F256K by the industrious Ernesto, who's a maestro at making fully completed superbasic programs. He even put out a manual for it!
F256K = modern homebrew 6502/65816/6809 wedge computer
Making good progress in C programming for the #F256K from Foenix Retro Systems. Mastering kernel based timers is key to game programming and animation. (it's ok to watch just a few seconds of this)

Great work-in-progress from xDraconian on a remake of Track N' Field ported to a F256, I captured it at 60 fps on my #F256K. All done in assembly; it mimicks the demo mode of the arcade so far.

The F256K2 is coming soon and has backward compatibility ofc
a very decent port of pacman done by SprySloth for the #F256K. That's basically a dev rite of passage for a new platform, right?
Just got these banana-to-dupont cables. I'm too invested in Dupont connectivity to go somewhere else for all my small electronics power needs!
I have Dupont-to-:
-barrel jack
-micro-USB
-??? (future needs I'm sure!)
new videos from 8-bit wall of DOOM are always a treat. this time, a gentle introduction to the 6809 processor and how, in a special custom FNX6809 board, it can pin replace (with adapter board) the default 6502 in the F256Jr/K from Retro Foenix Systems
I transfered Duncan from Dark Castle (1986 Macintosh b&w game) to a #F256K with the magic of Gimp image software, python scripts and 6502 assembly language.
