New pants!

These are the Morden pants from @threadtheorydesigns . It's a new pattern for me and these are essentially a wearable mock-up made of some leftover fabric from another project.

These have lots of clever details (articulated knees! Gusseted construction! Extra pockets! Reinforced knees!) that made them a little more complicated to sew than my previous pants patterns.

The instructions were pretty great. I really appreciate that the included instructions for various length adjustments. Probably I should have adjusted the rise, but I decided to make them (mostly) as written the first time.

They're comfy enough, though I might play with the fit at the waist a little more yet. Removing several inches at the waist was the one adjustment I didn't have a choice about making. I'm thinking an elasticised back waist might help too.

Ça y est le gilet cadeau de naissance est fini après u un peu moins de 13 semaines de travail. Je suis très content du résultat. Il part à la poste cet après midi. Vivement les photos portées.

Des boutons gris clairs sur une bandes de boutonnage d'un gris un peu plus foncé. Le reste du tricot est fait de bandes blanches et grises.

Le dos d'un gilet à manches longues pour bébé. Le col est gris clair. L'empiècement et le corps sont en mailles blanches et grises. Les mailles blanches forment des colonnes du haut de l'empiècement jusqu'au milieu du dos puis se croisent pour former des bulles.

Knitted in Sandnes Garn Tynn Merinoull (body and clothes) and Filcolana Arwetta (tusks).

Eyes embroidered in metallic effect thread, and I knitted in some white silk sewing thread with the arwetta to add a bit of shine to the tusks.

Not the best photos, but didn'at have my DSLR at hand, and the plush has been given on to its intended owner.
