When Diane introduced me to one of her friends (Simon) we shook hands.

Simon: "Oh wow, you have such white hands." (oh wow, du hast so weisse Hände)

Me (looking at my palms and thinking): "Wow, what weird thing to say – I guess he must be drunk already."

Then, ten minutes later, she introduced me to another of her friends (Moritz). Again we shook hands.

Moritz: "Oh wow, you have such white hands." - and this time he turns to Diane: "Am I right? They are sooo white." - Diane turns to me and looks at me who, at this moment, must have become a huge question mark: "Yes, Moritz is right. Your hands are sooooo white."

Me (lookong at my palms again, looking at Moritz who is definitely not drunk, looking at Diane who looks really happy): "White? You think so?"

Diane: "Nicht weiss, sondern weich, soooo weich" (not white, soft, sooo soft)

Me: 🙄😂😂😂🥰

Edit: "weiss" and "weich" sound very similar, especially in a crowded environment like in a beer tent. And if the person saying it has drunk a few beers, they are nearly indistinguishable. Of course, my #FragMyBrain never assumed that my hands could be so soft that young people would be baffled by it.

I guess there is also some "cowardice" in play here.

Let's assume a lesbian woman hits on me in a lesbian bars and we hit off and it comes to sex at one point ... my brain shuts down here, because it starts things like "and then what? What are we gonna do? We have no idea how to have sex with a lesbian! What would she expect? And then, and then ... we have a penis! What do we do with that with a lesbian woman? Would she be interested in it? I mean, how to explain that to her in the first place? Panic! PANIC!! Run! RUN!!"

Ok, yeah, the actual mention was "llm pomo", but I read it as "LLM porn" and now #FragMyBrain wonders: what if we connected ChatGPT to PornHub, i.e. get all the dialogs from PornHub videos and feed them as input to ChatGPT (and all the other LLMs out there)? Wouldn't that solve all our problems? Immediately? 🤔

Ok, damned this ND-brain: it ain't "they are now so heavy that they must obey the laws of physics", rather "they have now so much mass that they are visibly impacted by movement and gravity" - arggghhh - I hate this #FragMyBrain

@SymTrkl It is more complicated than just pruning inactive follows. I have the weird belief that somewhere around 700-1000 follows is the right amount for my timeline to be (a) diverse enough and (b) still manageable that I don't ignore posts (too often). So, if there are dormant follows who are just using up space, I need to remove them to make space for new follows.

I know this is weird, but this is how my brain works.

Similarly, I want to interact with my followers. If there are those who just read but never post, I am not that much interested in them, after all, I usually don't accept follow requests if the account in question has no own posts and/or has only boosts. Curating followers for me also means that I regularly check if a follower I accepted is still the right person, still ok.

But hey, #FragMyBrain right?
