In #England, all newborns are to receive a complete genome sequencing. This is advertised as a measure for disease prevention and personalized health services. In times of domestic political authoritarianization and surveillance capitalist data exploitation - in the case of the #British #NHS even in proud cooperation with the militarized tech company #Palantir - such an approach should by no means be viewed only from the perspective of well-intentioned health care but of control and biopolitical regime.

In regards to the developments in the #EU with "health data spaces", biometric mass surveillance and biopolitical authoritarianisation, such practices would also be conceivable outside England.

#ZDF- Mediathek: #Gattaca mit Ethan Hawke und Uma Thurman. Der Film ist von 1997 und das sieht man ihm auch an. Aber ich mag ihn trotzdem sehr. Der hat mich von Anfang an begeistert und irgendwie ist das Leider nur die dt. Tonspur, aber trotzdem einen Blick wert!
