Still 2 days to go until we start our experiment to open our doors and let folks peek behind the curtain of the #GCmobility team.

I am feeling really excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because we have doubled the size of our team with 2 great additions to build a #GCdigitslService.

Nervous because working in the #OpenByDefault is not something done often in the #GCverse. So we are opening ourselves up to either ubber support, or mega judgements.

Do you have any advice / insights?

On a typical #ThemeThursday the team chooses a theme and we all show up with various interpretations on the theme. Merriment ensues.

Today we didn’t choose a team theme. Decided to pick our own individual theme, show up, and guess what everyone picked. This is how we all showed up.

Hey #GCverse. From Dec 5 to 15 the #GCmobility initiative at #ESDC will be opening up it's process and methods for a full 2 week iteration. We want you and other #GCleaders to join us virtually.

Our overall goal is to decrease crossboarding between federal departments from over 2 years to less than 2 weeks. Sound interesting?

While we are far from achieving this goal, in our next iteration we want to build a modern #GcDigitalService in a single 2 week iteration.

@abe I feel the #fediverse is a collection of interconnected communities. Mastodon Canada (https://mstdn.ca) is starting to feel like a #Canadian community. There are pretty active regional tags like #Ontario and more local tags like #Ottawa. I have even connected with folks in my community of #Barrhaven.

The #GC tags could bring together #PublicServants. Weekly posts using the #GCdigital, #GCverse, #GChr or #GCdata tags could create some community action too.

Just another example of a federated architecture. The API just might not be as clearly defined.
