3 Jahre später (1996) war die #BBS dann in den #Hackspace im Keller des Edward-Clement-Hauses beim BDP untergezogen. Da "hatten wir dann auch schon was": Die erste Standleitung (analog) zum WiLa (free.de), mail und news haben wir aber trotzdem noch uucp geholt (nun over Telnet statt dialup).
Und ja, bis auf den Windows95 "Office"-Rechner links und den FreeBSD-Rechner für die Standleitung waren das alles OS/2-Rechner, die BT+ als Fidomailer mit uucp, #Zerberus und/oder NCBmail dahinter anboten.
Our next #HitchinHackspace weekly open evening is on Monday 15th December.
We will be open from 19:30 until 22:00 to give folks who may be interested in what we do, and what facilities we can provide, a chance to come and have a look round and meet some of our members.
All are welcome. If you have ever wondered what we did to convert a derelict toilet into a hackspace, or what a "hackspace" is for that matter, come and have a look around.

We have tools and equipment that cover a wide range of hobbies, crafts and technologies: woodwork, metalwork, electronics, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, sewing, 3D printing.....

Morgen Abend 19 Uhr: Freifunk Erfurt Entwicklungstreffen im @bytespeicher
Der Sovol SV07plus im #WIRhaus war das Arbeitspferd, aber hatte nach Maustag Fehler im makerbase-Setup. Erstverschlimmerung durch eilige Reparaturversuche.
Fix: Identisches Gerät von Kleinanzeigen "as parts, wg. Displayschaden" für wenig €. Partstausch "step-by-step" im A/B-Test.
Hauptgerät dann OK und mit dem Wissen dann auch noch den Organspender ins Leben zurückgeholt.
Daher jetzt wegen Platzmangel im #hackspace (siehe Bild): AnycubicVyper (unverbastelt) zu verschenken!

We stripped it back to wood, added a roof, cut the side away (with reinforcements), designed and cut a new reindeer, repainted, added upholstery, then added 12V audio and lights.
It's loud.
A few more bits to finish when it's dry, but it's now out on rounds.
This turned in to a full Hackspace project, with input from lots of members.
Auch Ende 2022 war die Jahresendveranstaltung dezentral, wir haben daraus direkt unser erstes großes Tech Treff gemacht, bei dem unter anderem an mehreren Projekten gewerkelt wurde.

Erstmalig sind wir beim RC3 Ende 2021 unter dem Namen SegFaultDragons zusammengekommen. Die lokale Lightshow und Projekte haben wir mit der virtuellen Jahresendveranstaltung kombiniert um in die Stimmung einzutauchen.

Unsere Gruppe existiert offiziell seit 2022, trifft sich aber schon seit 2004 unter Namen wie “Funkfreaks” (CB-Funk) oder “Bunker Projekt” (Bastler-Werkstatt).
Wir sind ein Hacker- und Makerspace angesiedelt im nerdlichen Burgenland in Großhöflein (Österreich), wo wir regelmäßig offene Tech Treffs organisieren, bei denen wir an Projekten arbeiten und gemeinsam Spaß haben.
2024 haben wir dann auch einen Verein gegründet.
Hier wirds nun erstmal Archivmaterial und dann Neuigkeiten geben.

Maybe ask around in a local #Hackspace - they tend to have tools onsite or at least know someone who may be able and willing to fix it for a tip.
As was foretold, I have managed to finish up two more messenger bags and will have them for sale this SUNDAY DEC 7 at the HOLIDAY MARKET at 438 Somerville Ave 12-6. Should be a blast, there's three floors of artists, makers, and local organizations, Cambridge Hackspace is hosting a repair clinic during the market, there's gonna be live music, drinks & snacks. Come say hi, get your holiday shopping done early and support the local artists who keep your community good and weird. And there's two other markets right around the corner! IT WILL BE FUN.
