Vor mir ist der Kanal, das Wasser ist ruhig mit einer geschlossen Oberfläsche in der sich die Bäume am Rand und der Himmel spiegeln.

Die Ränder sind links und rechts bis zum Horizont mit Bäumen in unterschiedlicher Herbstfärbung gesäumt, von grün über gelb und orange. Einige Blätter sind bereits abgefallen und treiben auf der Wasseroberfläche. In einiger Entfernung macht der Kanal eine Biegung weshalb auch hinter der Biegung Bäume zu sehen sind.

Der Himmel ist grau und bewölkt, das Licht ist dadurch gedämpft und die Szene fühlt sich dadurch farblos und kühl an.

Das Foto wurde an einem Samstag morgen gegen 10:30 aufgenommen.

Turns out the book I've been needing involves charismatic robot friends making perfect noodles and building community in a future post-war San Francisco. I browsed Kepler's Books in Menlo Park while listening to the end of the audiobook. Just after it finished, I found myself in front of some signed hardcover copies. Since Automatic Noodles by @annaleen is my new favorite cheering-up book, I bought that as well. Highly recommended! #bookstodon #scifi #BiangBiangNoodles #HappyPlace

It’s a beautiful day here. The cottage garden border is going wild - just the way I like it. The native verbenas are incredibly tall and a real #pollinator magnet. I keep pulling them up and moving them to the back but more just keep coming! Hoping the pink Gaura will grow bit taller as it flowers this year, so we can see it over everything else. Looking forward to giving the shrub #rose its first proper prune this winter/spring as it’s very dense.
