And just when we'd officially given up on teaching the cat to have his teeth brushed, he decided to do it himself (?!)

We have a little toddler's brush for him that i trimmed half the bristles off to make it less overwhelming and it has a little suction cup on the end.

This morning he wandered up and started rubbing his face on the bristles so I put a little enzymatic cat toothpaste (which up to this point he's decided was pretty gross, so I was putting a tiny dab on to the occasional treat to get him used to the flavour and figured a little bit any way was probably better than none .

After that he rubbed the brush on his teeth and chewed the brush so we gave him some reward treats, and he let me continue with a little bit of brushing and even more treats. I think he gets it now. I'm completely amazed and never thought we'd ever get here.

It's a goddamn Christmas miracle!
