The footbridge to the busy port at #Caergybi #Holyhead.

An unusual footbridge taking pedestrians over roads and railway tracks between the town centre and the busy port. The bridge is made of two very large arcs of stainless steel tube at 45 degree angles to the deck strung beneath it with cables. Not a pretty view but the architectural bridge definitely adds interest.

Arrival in Holyhead with Avanti West Coast, transfer to the ferry port and 3,5 hrs later the ferry arrives in Dublin, my final destination.

Off to #Holyhead today seen from the port of #Dublin, after a sparrowfart start from #Kerry, arriving far too early at the port and then being told the ferry was 2.5 hours 🫩
Once we get to the other side, a mere 3.5 hour drive, all being well on the hopefully snowfree roads of North Wales, to our destination near Birmingham.

Just got back from a 250 kilometre walking tour on beautiful #Anglesey in #Wales with the rather run-down town of #HolyHead as a starting point. I'll be posting some more shots soon; it really is a wonderful island.
