Kewpie is a brand of mayonnaise in Japan, the mascot is a little doll. A few years ago (well, maybe 20 years ago) they had an insane series of commercials for tarako sauce (spicy fish eggs, basically)

Pretty easy to tell the difference from the packaging.

I bought a 2-pack via #Amazon about a yr ago & I still haven't finished the 1st bottle yet.

I think most people lean towards the products/food that they grew up using/eating.

Kewpie tastes ok to me but having grown up using/eating only #BestFoods (aka #Hellmans) mayo, I prefer Best Foods over Kewpie & only use Kewpie in recipes that specifically call for it, which are few & far between for me.

Served on nori sheets or lettuce with sliced cucumber and avocado. Very tasty 👍🏻
