So, we’ve been running the dishwasher with baking soda for a few nights now since we ran out of the powder detergent and the store has been out of stock. It actually works really great.
We can’t justify ourselves to buy those *expensive* detergent in neat little packets because our dirty dishes aren’t oily. Detergent is for removing greasiness. I hate that corporations decide how much detergent we all should use.
But now we found a better way, both environmentally and economically.
We’ve been using distilled white vinegar in the rinse cycle for years, but didn’t think of baking soda till now. Win-win because we’ll save a little more money and say FU to consumer capitalism. 😁👌
