So I just found out that Rigols Bag-800 is pretty much perfect for carrying a #MNT Pocket Reform.

@feoh @latenightlinux counter to that is the #MNT machines, their manual and packaging etc. looks so nice almost retro in being so open and hackable. If I had the spare cash and time!
I've put up a new video (the first since 2020!), assembly and first impressions of the #MNT #PocketReform. Spoiler alert: it's a super fun device.
Pardon the moderately terrible camera and camera work. And the rambling.
Find it on:

Does anybody know whether it is possible to boot the MNT Reform (Next) system with e.g. the latest Fedora aarch64 Live ISO written to USB stick and install to the Reform from there and have everything work out of the box like one would be able to do on most x86-64 systems? If not, how far are we away from that?

MNT’s tiny PC has a mechanical keyboard and old-school trackball
NOTE: The review is 2-year old.
Interesting phenomenon: on the #MNT #PocketReform, I _can_ use the trackball with my left hand, and so I do (don't ask me why I can't use a trackpad with my left hand, I just ... can't). But then for some reason, I click the wrong buttons. ???
My requirement is very simple: I don't want to have to buy more than one #laptop in my life.

Jetzt wo #framework mutiert ist, darf ich mir dann ohne schlechtes Gewissen ein #MacBook kaufen oder muss ich den 80er Aktenkoffer von #mnt tragen?
Every small and big tech CEO and community manager has to make this choice. It's easier for some.
Excite!!
I was planning to buy a #Framework 16 @frameworkcomputer as my next computer. Now I have no idea what to get instead. My #MNT Pocket Reform is great and they are lovely people but Linux ARM is probably no good choice for everyday work.

@hughsie #mnt started automating firmware uploads to LVFS embargo. The build job always builds FW for two devices, and it seems often enough the upload of the first file succeeds, and the second one gets an HTTP 502. Any ideas?
last CI job:

It's small, chunky and very purple.
All set up and ready for work!
Finally got a pocket reform recently, and what a beauty!
I just re-flashed my #MNT #PocketReform keyboard to match the Preonic layout that I've been using for years. My fingers are a little bit confused again, but hopefully less so than they were switching back and forth!
Flashing was easy and worked fine business.
