🤓 This is a #nerd post! Just dug up an old #photo of me #flying during my #Diamond #Katana days. 🛩️ And the device I used for #flight #navigation was a #Motorola #PhotonQ 4G LTE. One of those famous #sliders with full #QWERTY #keyboard! ⌨️ Had to solder a #SIM slot into that (was "Sprint" hardwired). And I ran @jolla #SailfishOS on it! 😎 Aaand I used some app like #PoorMaps and piped self-converted #MapTiles into it that I downloaded from #OpenFlightMaps. 🤯 Totally safe though! 😂 #avgeek #aviation

Done soldering. Ok I brutally ripped of the Sprint chip, and then crudely soldered some wires I had lying around to connect the SIM slot. That's to the right. The slot to the bottom is the SD slot. Next to it where the chip has been.

Driving time isochrone map from New Delhi IGI International Airport Terminal 3, displaying 10-minute intervals from 10 minutes to 60 minutes. Each shaded region represents areas reachable within a specific travel time, providing a clear visualization of driving distances under normal traffic conditions. Data sourced from OpenRouteService and generated using map tiles from Stadia Maps’ Stamen Design.

@cassidy I think there are ways to do this with qgis and maybe #maptiles? Certainly putting points on top of OpenStreetMap is possible with #QGIS.

Wanted to include this bit in my class tomorrow (morning at 9.00 ;-) ) and am stuck. Something obvious probably but can't see and no time to do a proper reprex 😭 #Rstats #OSM #maptiles

I recently gave a talk to a non-profit my friend works at, an introduction to #geospatial #data for software developers.
