My new #Lilygo T-deck Plus arrived for #Meshcore. But I can't seem to get it into DFU mode to flash. I am using my Ubuntu laptop and ofcourse I cant find any guide that using Linux. The error message after I try to flash says Failed to initialize. Did you place the device into firmware download mode? Detail: NetworkError: Failed to execute 'open' on 'SerialPort': Failed to open serial port. Also not sure if I should use Ripple or communtity.

Finaly got around to playing with the #lilygo t-rgb 2.8" a round IPS TFT with capacitive touch and ESP32-S3. With all components already supported in #openhasp all it took was tweaking the configuration. Now it's #openscad time to make a piece of plastic that makes this display blend over into our wall switch plate.

pleasantly surprised with battery life on the #lilygo t-beam*. looks like I'll get a couple days per charge.

the t-deck plus with MUI has some weirdness going on with the battery meter being.. quirky and unresponsive for minutes at a time.

*ymmv, depends on your 18650 battery, but it seems low drain.

more quirks

- the t-deck doesn't seem to be able to run the Bluetooth management and UI simultaneously
- the t-deck firmware in the repo is for a very different version than the one shipped on the Plus
- i built it, flashed it, went WTF, found a binary of the original, and re-flashed that
- not clear which of several repos, if any, contain the source of the new Meshtastic UI that ships on the Plus
