А что если бы вторая проверка шла не через устройство — а через людей, которым ты доверяешь? Так появилась CB2FA (Community-Based Two-Factor Authentication) — проект, где вход подтверждается живыми людьми в Matrix-чате. Без телефонов. Без TOTP. Без внешних сервисов.

Matrix — мощная федеративная платформа, но с точки зрения администрирования она оставляет желать лучшего. Стандартные инструменты либо устарели, либо требуют сложных прокси-настроек, JS-фреймворков, обходов CORS и кучи зависимостей. Мы в EasyProTech столкнулись с этим вживую — и решили сделать свою панель. Так родилась Paranoia :

I have a question for Matrix / Element X users here.
Is there any apps tied to the stuff that allow making threads? I know someone who uses threads to write a lot from Discord, so I was wondering if there was something that could currently be able to do that or if this is something planned for the future in any of them?

Ich wundere mich, warum im Firmen #matrixorg nix los ist. Also kein „Good Morning“ / „Moin“ / … … denke schon, dass entweder der Server in der Firma oder mein privater ein Problem hat, wäre da nicht der Icinga Raum, der um 11 eine Nachricht bekommen hat. Kucke auf die Uhr: „ Ach heute ist ja Samstag !“

Is it possible to configure a #Matrix server and/or a #Mastodon server in a "push and pull" mode? 🤔
In other words, a server that cannot be reached from the outside world but one that can push out locally produced "items" and pull remotely produced "items".
I'd call this "a private end node".
I'm guessing the answer is "no", but there are so many brilliant people here, I thought I'd at least ask.

Since getting rid of #Meta seems now more obvious than ever, don't forget to try and move away from #whatsapp too.
It takes a lot of convincing, but e.g #Signal is not that complicated to get friends and family onboard with.
Or even better in the long run, but a bit more tricky, set them up with #matrixorg account.
Many universities in DE offer matrix home servers too.
