Sometimes everything seems to work out... Today was a good day. I turned out a top-hat for the New drawbar for the CNC mill today. So far, it looks pretty good. Only thing left is the 10mm square nut at the top to mill. I will do that after I turn the threads on the "bar" part of the drawbar.

Jour 20 : arbre

Pour sortir des bois, passons au versant mécanique de l'arbre* avec celui du moulin de la pointe du Millier dans ce diptyque, côté extérieur et côté intérieur de l'arbre transmettant la rotation de l'immense roue mue par un tout petit ruisseau, mais avec un grand effet de levier.

* j'ai aussi des arbres d'hélice en archive ;)

So the #Lathe and #Mill are not completely set up. And both need attention cleaning them, but I've finally got them roughly where they are going to live. And we have more space where both of them lived, and in the working space of them.

Both Lathe and Mill start as Sherline lathes. One branded Craftsman, but still. One lathe came with the mill pillar, but since it has a drive to move the cross slide, I think I'm going to put the mill pillar on the Craftsman.\

Today was a busy day. I put the table together for the ShapeOko.

The other day a box arrived with a few goodies for the mini mill. In the box was this adorable little pressure regulator from Festo. It is for the cooling system (fogbuster) to drop the pressure down to 1.5 to 2 bar.

I will be heading to Hannover on Tuesday to visit the EMO. I need to pick up some new tooling for the shop. Maybe I can find a few deals there!
