Tinariwen. The word means "desert people" in Tamasheq, a language of the Tuareg people. The Tuareg are nomadic people, a minority group, spread across Saharan north Africa.
Tinariwen is also the name of a group, or rather a shifting collective of musicians, founded in 1979. And they are outstanding! In 2012, their album Tassili won a Grammy. They are still touring the world.

Just bought Here Be Dragons from @bluenagoon I meant to buy it last month and instead accidentally bought the Crestfallen album. A happy accident thanks to my #ADHD 😂 I've been streaming these songs as I waited for #BandcampFriday and been enjoying Crestfallen a lot as well! I've already mentioned the Dead Kennedys as one of my favorite bands, due to their politics and music. Another, and for the same reasons, is #Crass. I don't know them nearly as well as I do the DKs; I've only got one best of double CD set in my collection though I did skip through more of their catalog when I was a DJ.
