Do please spread the word that @chrischirp is looking for anonymous testimony from frontline #NHS staff on what it was really like during the early days of the pandemic.
As well as those caught up in the absolute horror of watching people die and being unable to help, there were so many other staff I know whose professional lives were turned upside down as they were drafted in to try to keep some level of care going for other urgent cases.

The NHS is not safe in either Labour or Conservative hands.

The Health Service Journal reported yesterday that:
NHS England has told many trusts and systems they are not allowed to increase their staffing establishment in the next 12 months.
There are at least 10% staff vacancies.
Stress levels amongst those working for the NHS are through the roof.
It is as if the government does not want to sort problems in the NHS.

So #NHS workers are to be offered a one off payment, i.e. not consolidated into their salary, of less than the average private sector pay rise for last year and even less for this coming year. I know it's hard for staff and patients but I hope #Nurses, #Paramedics and all the other vital #NHSstaff have enough energy left to reject this new pay cut.
