#programming with #xCode on a #MacMini - is there a way to use my #Neo2 #ISOKeyboard layout on a simulated iPhone? That QWERTZ remapping happening in the simulator is driving me crazy, and I can't for the life of me remember where apple hides the @ sign on their native keyboards, either.
Android studio offers no such problems, by the way. It maps all keys like the main Mac system does, and everything runs fine.

I never learn to properly write with ten fingers. I'm fast but m technique is questionable. I now try to learn a proper 10-finger system. And because @netzhexe nerdsniped me I'm learning #Neo2

My 100% (and some keys more) #Neo2 #keyboard, for the connoisseurs.
The base is a knobbed Q6 by #Keychron, in ISO layout. I tried some translucent keycaps and some nice pens for writing up the legends on the sides and tops. It worked kinda-sorta. So I ordered a custom printed 104 key set at WASD, because I did not like their cluttered prepared stuff and I am not afraid of color.
I also mostly use layers 1-3, and I wanted my keyboard to reflect that. Also, Linux keys instead of win or mac.
Started this order many many weeks ago. Pleasant surprise in the post today.

I got my first #Apple computer at work and begin to understand the faithful who never want to use anything else. Usually, my digs are #Linux in all its flavors, but where Apple takes the time to polish all corners, Linux is famous for its rough edges.
On the other hand, Linux never had even one problem running my #Neo2 layout keyboard, while on that Mac Mini it took me two days to solve the problems of a non-standard layout.
I am glad Apple still cooks with water like the rest of us.

I use #NEO2 layout for everything, and for some reason, nobody wants to use my computer. Might be the fault of my sensible keyboard stickers.

Ich bin eine großer Freund von ergonomischen Tastaturbelegungen. Die Schwierigkeit ist nur, dass man dafür gleich ganz viele Tastenbelegungen neu lernen muss.
Aktuell taste ;-P ich mich heran, indem ich neo-qwertz nehmen: Das Hauptfeld ist QWERTZ, aber die Sonderzeichen auf Ebenen 3 sind die von #neo2.
@britter, da ich mit #neo2 tippe, ist das für mich kein Thema. Das layout gibt es nirgends zu kaufen. Aber da sind wir wieder in der Nische der Nische. :blobfoxlaughsweat:
