It is better to hear in the live stream recording video from #SCaLE on YouTube, when Noah asked about mentorship programs, Aaron answered mentioning me and I talked about my reach out to Indian universities. Right after that we hear the cheers:
@communiteatime @socallinuxexpo @thunderbird I hope Thunderbird will come to the #OpportunityOpenSource in India this year, in August or September.

@akademy@floss.social @akademy@lemmy.kde.social I did not attend aKademy 2024, so I cannot say how well organized it was, but I have seen the guide for the Call for Hosts for 2025 and it is really amazing. I would like to adopt at least parts of it for the #OpportunityOpenSource conferences which I am organizing in India, so having its source files would be great. This would be helpful for many conference organizers.

I have posted a summary of the #OpportunityOpenSource 2.0 in the IIT Kanpur in India on the event's thread on the #Ubuntu Community Hub now:
@popey Sorry for the late reply, I am still in India (#OpportunityOpenSource, #UbuConAsia).
Unfortunately there are no Sprints on London any more, as we have huge Engineering Sprints where all the engineers of Canonical meet at once, needs huge hotels. And after pandemic last office bastions of Canonical turned WFH and Canonical moved to smaller office.
So, @popey go to more conferences, submit more talks ...
A few days left! Next weekend (Aug 24-26) there will be the second #OpportunityOpenSource! In the IIT Kanpur in India!
More than 40 great talks, panels, and lightning talks are waiting for you!
But if you cannot come and join us, you will not miss this great event, as we live stream all what is happening in the Plenary Room and in the Breakout Room.
You do not need to register, just watch on YouTube, and you can ask questions via live comments.
