More #music history from Hammond Castle: although he wasn't related to the Hammond electronic organ company, John Hays Hammond owned an #organ with 14,000 pipes, many of them hidden in hallow walls in his home. Alas, it is unplayable today, but recordings from the 1940s-1970s existed. He collected musical #instruments, including a claviharp, and dabbled in invention, including colored #vinyl to help listeners find the start of their favorite songs.
