Under a sky of grey-bottomed clouds being driven by a bitter northerly wind, but with brighter edges and blue where there are clear patches, is a distant moorland tor. The slopes up to its granite rock-strewn top with coppery brown vegetation are dusted with a small amount of snow. In front of the tor on the right of the picture there is a slither of a small lake reflecting the light in the sky, behind some slightly silhouetted wetland habitat.

Drove up, out of the foggy valley and got above the fog and was treated to this smashing sunset.

Had a trip down to Rickmansworth to visit Stockers Lake. Haven't been for a year or so, but we were dropping off my partners son at Heathrow which is about 6 miles from Stockers, so it was a perfect opportunity to visit.
