The carved wooden sign outside the Bon Accord on North Street in Glasgow. Opening in 1971, it was one of the first real ale pubs in Glasgow and it remains so to this day. I'm not too sure when the sign dates from, but it's not present in a photo taken in 1991.
The sign for The Aragon in the West End of Glasgow. Despite the appearance of this sign, it only opened in 1970, making it one of the newer pubs on Byres Road. Before that, it was a Butcher's Shop.

This week I have mainly been making a #pubsign for the new local #micropub in the village of Palterton, NE Derbyshire, UK. Fab little pub, selling local @welbeckabbeybry ales in a cosy ex-cornershop setting. Only open Friday & Saturday eves at the moment, but watch this space! #RealAle #Metalworking
I'm painting steadily towards a show in December. Work is proceeding well! These fish delighted me last night, which makes me think I've found my groove. A side effect of having a deadline and dictating a goodly amount of time to the practice.
It's not quite finished yet. The top and bottom sections need tootling.
