I found a very reasonable looking tutorial on setting up #RetroPie on #Ubuntu and since I do #Mint I figure wth..
The sudo setup command starts a flurry of git clones and compiles.. 15 mins later yay config gui.. then the app launches..yesss
I copy over a couple games.. open it..there they are..click play.. blink..blink..nope. 🤦♂️
I think its video compatability.. the x11 wayland thing and I dwanna play with it.. boff..
Do got #Redream goin tho.. so theres that..

My daughter is 14, she is hard to buy for. Her nan asked for christmas ideas. She's spending a lot of time gaming on her phone lately so I suggested the #GameSir X2s. She asked me if I know a way she can play #sonic adventure 2 on her phone which she used to play as a kid, so I set her up with #redream emulator and transferred a copy of sonic from my set up to her phone. She loves gaming without ads and now wants to learn about #emulation. Feeling a strange mix of fatherly pride and jealousy.

El emulador Redream de Dreamcast para Android no me dejaba especificar una carpeta válida para la librería de ROMs, parece que es un fallo que da con algunas versiones de Android en las versiones actuales del emulador.
La solución ha sido bajarme una versión anterior de la app, en concreto la 1.1.88 de la página APKpure, configurar la carpeta que se va usar para las ROMs y luego actualizar la app desde la Play Store. Dejo esto por aquí por si a alguien le sirve de ayuda que yo he dado algunas vueltas hasta solucionarlo. ¡Ryo, nos vemos en Hong Kong! :gif_bunny_butt:
