The ISA slot is implemented in Verilog. What I'm thinking of doing is implementing a few Verilog programs that set up various graphics modes and write something into video memory.
Almost like a game cartridge! You could just connect the one you want in the simulation and then run it, and you'll see the card do something different.
as you can see I'm dividing the functional areas of the CGA and putting a little description of what they do. When this is done I'll throw it up on GitHub and anyone can download the simulator and run it and explore how the CGA operates.
So if you're curious what chips you can tear off your CGA card because who needs attributes or graphics anyway, here's the minimal viable text mode:

This freaking CGA card works!
It reads DRAM via CAS and RAS addressing, it reads the character font ROM, it serializes it out at the dot clock.
I poked the message manually into VRAM, because I don't have the PC-side interface at all.

More progress on my CGA card simulation.
the "Digital" digital logic simulator had an emulated VGA display - since it's in Java I was able to patch the jar to add support for CGA output timings, and line-double it.
This circuit consists of the clock derivation circuitry on the left which is a tangled mess of flip-flop-feedbackery, and my Verilog 6845. I don't have any VRAM or rasterization capability here, so I'm just tying the bottom three address lines coming off the 6845 directly to the R, G, B output lines of the monitor, with an AND gate shutting off the signal outside of Display Enable.
Released more than 25 years ago, Bleem! is a discontinued PlayStation emulator developed for Windows. It garnered mixed reviews, with critics praising the accelerated graphics, but criticizing issues running PS titles and deeming the emulator a work in progress. Notably, Bleem! won its biggest endorsement in the form of Sony lawsuits, which have since been parsed in legal academia in the context of US copyright law.

О качестве эмуляции пока что не могу ничего сказать, но меня он привлёк, прежде всего, тем, что эмулировал Buchla m200, до которого мало кто из других эмуляторщиков добрался

Недавно попался один крутой сайт, на котором какие-то чуваки постят бесплатные эмуляторы винтажных синтов в стандартном VSTi формате:

Они утверждают, что у них самая точная эмуляция, и информируют, что ихние VSTi достоверно эмулируют DSP от Motorola
Оставляю на ваше суждение, ребята, но я скачал, попробовал - звучит годно
Есть лишь 1 проблема: ROM'ы с пресетами вам придётся скачать самим, из-за патентных ограничений эти люди их к своим эмуляторам не прилагают: заходите на сайты Waldorf / Access и качаете там сервисные утилиты под каждый из синтов, которые на этом сайте эмулированны, устанавливаете, копипастите из них ROM в папки с VSTi - и годные аналоговые синт'ы у вас в компе
Разумеется, легальность использования ROM'ов в эмуляторах вызвала вопросы в пабликах и на форумах. На ваш страх и риск, ка'гврцца...
Потом, может, демки запишу и запощу, ибо очень любопытная тема с ними...

If there's any DEV out there who is crazy enough...we NEED a working Quasimidi Quasar rom for MAME. A first dump was already provided but the ROM is just on status: preliminary for now. Having a virtual Quasar would be insanity
