I did a #RepairRevolution in Wanaka yesterday. Varied as ever: a microwave oven, a solar electric fence driver, a desk light, a floodlight, a bedside light, a garden light, a laminator and a camping light all went home with their owners instead of choking up our landfill.

I received this copy of #RepairRevolution as part of a barter for consulting on Mobile Phone SD Card, Sim Card, and international radio frequencies at the Free Repair Clinic. I was told that it was one of two books which were donated to the clinic and that the Free Repair Clinic was originally founded by the author John Wackman. Fixed: a 1950s Elna Junior sewing machine; a multi-disc CD player (with a rubber band!); a 1970s robot toy; a Kodak film camera; a USB power bank; a hair dryer; a roll-up promotional sign; a kitchen knife.

Couldn't fix: a kettle (blown integrated element); a lawn mower (pretty sure the spark plug was the issue, but I didn't have a spark plug socket).

Stoked to have saved this little beauty from landfill.

I have a Logi Folio Touch Keyboard Case for an iPad Air that’s not connecting/lighting up properly - holding it at a certain angle works, so it’s clearly a dodgy connecting ribbon underneath.
