Am I dumb? Does #rigify work in latest #blender? I get a nice rig but the hand bones only distort and scale, no finger curling or hand rotation. Tutorials show it working much nicer. #gamedev
Aw why can't my cat sit correctly
I did use the humanoid rig rather than the cat rig, but the spine is identical in both rigs. I'm guessing either my torso is too short or I just didn't place the spine bones in the right places.

Very slowly learning rigging and weight painting. I think I'm happy enough to leave this one be for now and move onto the next thing. There are a lot of mistakes here and it took me far longer than it should have, but I'm happy enough with it. I really need to work on my velocity and learn how to get things done faster. Also, #Rigify is awesome.

Added texture to the vintage lamp and some colored lights for fun. Tried #rigify for the first time on the low poly model from @BlenderKit to have a simple posing. Still everything takes a lot of time and wish some features would be situational or more procedural. Maybe gotta look into addons. But for now I enjoy the process of building the room piece by piece while learning some tricks. And just maybe obsessing too much over details e.g. the handle of the heater unit. #b3d #blender3d

Also I'm deep into a rigging rabbit hole right now. I'm trying to get my rig/model to work on multiple engines and platforms, not just #Blender and #unity3d I've always loved #Rigify for its widgets, but it takes some work to convert Rigify humanoids to the various other humanoid rig formats out there (#Mixamo, #VRM, #Mecanim).
How do other 3D artists make cross-platform humanoid rigs?

I never personally touched #Rigify , but our character rigs started with it, and were just tweaked a bit afterwards.
