“cycling involves clairvoyancy, you predict all possible futures (that car doors possible arc, that cars range of movement, that drunk guy who looks like he might step out etc etc). you have to inhabit multiple continuums. cycling, infrastructure is simple to build.

Last year, after a media beat-up, the Australian Labor Party amputated the construction division of the CFMEU, and placed it in shackles.

The A.C.T. branch was largely left alone, and Michael Hiscox the head of the branch attempted to carry on representing his members, in spite of the extra boot on the neck.

Hiscox subsequently joined a high court challenge against Administration, and vocally opposed their top-down, undemocratic restructure plans.

So last week, the Administrator removed Hiscox from his leadership position, and installed an apparatchik bureaucrat in his place.

Because there is not a single piece of dirt on the ACT branch or any of its officials, the Administrator claimed Hiscox’s persecution was owing to the decline in the branches membership numbers.

The branches membership income was roughly the same as last year.
Irvings justifications for decapitating Hiscox are lazy and bad-faith, from a dictator Administrator who feels like he doesn’t have to answer to anyone.
The members want their union back, they want their democratic structures upheld, and they want Irving and the other administrators to get their slimey yuppie hands off of their proud union.

Judge Bates has *denied* an effort to block from accessing the Department of Labor despite "concerns." He says the plaintiffs ( ) haven't shown they have standing.

UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

AMERICAN FEDERATION OF LABOR
AND CONGRESS OF INDUSTRIAL
ORGANIZATIONS, et al.,
Plaintiffs,

Ad Civil Action No. 25-0339 (JDB)

DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, et al.,
Defendants.

MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
Plaintiffs, a collection of labor unions and a think tank, move to temporarily restrain the Department of Labor, the United States Digital Service (now known as the United States DOGE Service), and the United States DOGE Service Temporary Organization (together, “defendants”, from providing any person outside the Department of Labor—most pointedly, the other defendants’ employees —with access to non-public Department of Labor information or data, and from requiring Department employees to grant access to said information or data.
This data includes the medical and financial records of millions of Americans. But on the current record, plaintiffs have failed to establish standing.

So although the Court harbors concerns about defendants’ alleged conduct, it must deny plaintiffs’ motion at this time.
