A bit late for #screenshotsaturday, but last week I got the cargo teleporters to a decent level of polish. Just place them like a power node, and they give you a connection to your fabricator. Drones can use them to shorten their delivery routes too. #indiegame #gamedev

I've added shields to the enemies. Shield will stop plasma projectiles but not explosions. Got any other abilities I can add to enemies? Then let me know.

Had nothing to show for #screenshotsaturday - I spent the last days just fixing a ton of bugs that get in my way when testing the game.

Next thing I'm planning to work on is stockpiling (right now each resource entity occupies a separate tile) - this should improve logistics & solve a bunch of existing gameplay problems :)

I decided it will not pay off to invest in writing a visual editor for dialogue trees, as the game is not all that text heavy anyway. The pipeline is: plain text draft goes into the translation file, and the translation keys get referenced in dialogue tree data structure. So yeah, dialogue is scripted in JavaScript like the rest of the game, which gets awkward at times but it works well enough. I did made UI editor for scene elements though, that one is paying off. #screenshotsaturday

Working on quests/jobs/content for my programming game. First up is knowing where to go! Jobs output a target XYZ, the GPS module outputs your current XYZ and from there I leave it up to the player to program a solution, as an example finding the distance works well for me.
And making custom posters resizable!

Work continues (slowly) on my #Thief FM. I've been adding windows to the manor, and a few other decorations. There are still a few things left to do with the geometry. Pretty soon I'm going to start room brushing.

On a whim, decided to reduce the resolution of the Amiga CD32 port to the same as the GBA (240x160) and surprisingly, the system scaled it to a much better size!

If I try 160x100, the speed is much better, but this scaling won't happen.

While it's still not amazing, the speed improved dramatically - almost playable I would say.

Ah yes, the colours: I had to reduce from 256 to 32, but I'm working on improving this.
