I'm a few days late on (is a thing? lol), but I’m determined to post nonetheless!

I spent the weekend exploring some of the newly added concepts on Natu's development branch, particularly the additions of “scenes” and “systems”. To do this, I rewrote one of the Natu examples to use scenes and systems. Check it out!

Doors are pretty much where they need to be now. There's a lot of exceptions and gotchyas and refactor packed into this for a ton of reasons but they look really nice.

They can close too! But that's a bit of a question of UI so might not make the next milestone.

For screenshot...uh...monday here's a proof of concept of the new z-level refactor.

I walk into a building, debug-teleport to the level above me where there's enemies, teleport across to 2F of the building next door and then debug-teleport back down to ground-level.

Seems to work!!

Metroid Zero Mission such a good Metroid game for the GBA. Yesterday started to play it it's so much more friendly than the first original game Metroid 1986 on NES. It looks so good on mGBA 🤩️ 👀️🍬️.

Pretty much done with the blockout for now, so I moved on to create some assets. Implemented iron bars and ladders with variable height / size using MultiMeshInstance3D! For the iron material I used @YoSoyFreeman 's CC0 asset library: ko-fi.com/s/d86a6854ff
