Last year, we cycled from Hanover to the North Sea. During a break in #Nienburg, I found this impaled duck. This is a selfie I took with my smartphone because the camera was simply too bulky for this trip.

Layers of photography’s and drawings have been built up to form an abstract outline of a woman and a pond and a swan and a river. All in various shades of green parts of a woman’s face and body can be seen underneath layers of noise and shapes. Organic matter like leaves and flowers mixed in with lines and man made angles. Digital Mixed media collage with photographs I’ve taken.

The winged Mercury or Hermes – patron god of trade, thieves and travellers. This statue stands (or stood? At least until recently, when it was temporarily removed) in front of the trading house in #Hannover and shows us where we should direct our gaze: always upwards, always forwards. Even if that is often difficult in these times.
