Completed my "personal faves of the 90s" fall concert series last night with a terrific show by Shudder To Think, only very slightly slowed down by some technical problems with Nathan Larson's guitar. Given what a blast they were having, it was wonderful to hear that after last night's tour closer they're going to be working on new material (in addition to the recent single). #shuddertothink

I’m a huge STT fan, & even though I have 3 of the 5 songs here on other Shudder records (I own them all on vinyl except 50,000 BC, never pressed), I grabbed it.
The demo version of Kissi Penny is & the unlisted demo for Full Body Anchor are both pretty cool, & make this worth having for Shudder To Think diehards.

Today's random #Discogs choice Shudder To Think and Ten Spot 1990. Sitting firmly in the grunge, indie, punk rock category. It's a hit and miss album. By far, the best track is Rag.

The most underrated band of the 80s and 90s: Shudder to Think
Freddy Mercury swagger meets... I'm not good at describing music. But it's hard to think of more inventive rock band of the past 40 years.
"Pony Express Record" is probably their best, but I'm especially fond of "Ten Spot" and "Get Your Goat."
Continuing a theme, how about five albums to get to know me? A selection of all-time favourites that had a big impact on me. Being a musician, you’d think this is the first list I’d make…
