Shoreline Released New Single And Video
Photo by Brian KramerEmo punk/hardcore outfit SHORELINErecently announced their new album, Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After? is due for release on 13th March 2026 on Pure Noise Records and now they release single ‘Youthfully Naive’ as they start their UK tour with label mates Arm’s Length, Koyo and Ben Quad.
‘Youthfully Naive’ is about seeing someone you look upto being vulnerable for the first time. It is a prime example of Shoreline’s songwriting: big choruses, dynamic vocals and heavy guitars. Even though the band is many generations younger than the genre’s veterans, multiple backing vocals in the chorus harmonising pay tribute to the writing style of some of the greats, all in a fresh context of contemporary emopunk and hardcore.

Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After? is a concept album that dares the listener to recall the situations in life when you’ve hit rock bottom and consider if you were able to point out the moment from which things got better again? SHORELINE also ask themselves this question and dedicate an entire album to it. Their new songs undoubtedly propel the band from Münster to the peak of their creative powers: emo and hardcore meet a newfound passion for alternative rock, smart songwriting, and lyrics that go where it hurts.
“There’s a very clear turning point within this album for me – the lowpoint – if you will, from which the mood and songs start to become more hopeful. When I showed the record to our closest friends, everyone told me a different part that they’ve very clearly identified as the(ir) low point. I think that is in equal parts funny but also beautiful.” says Hansol Seung
While its soundscape is very clearly growing from the new wave of emo/HC bands such as One Step Closer, Arm’s Length Or Koyo, it has unmissable references from the unique clash of alternative music scenes in Germany.
Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After? is showing off a band that has a very clear vision of what kind of music they wanted to write. Big melodies, heavy riffs, but all rooted in a raw, honest take from a DIY Punk perspective.
The band will be touring this month in the UK and EU with label mates Arm’s Length, KOYO and Ben Quad before embrking on a headline run in the Autumn. Full dates below:

Drift Announce New Single
Photo courtesy of the band.Emo/post-hardcore band Drift announce their new single “Four Letters”, set for release on February 20th, 2026.
Rather than idealising love, “Four Letters” explores it as an intrusive, overwhelming force, messy, confusing, and impossible to escape. The track began years ago as an early riff before being revisited and reshaped, finally finding its full form in a vocally driven chorus and a volatile, emotionally charged final section.
“We wanted to capture the feeling of wanting to say something but being completely unable to,” says vocalist Callum McCombie. “When you’re overwhelmed, everything gets misinterpreted.”
Alongside the single, Drift have collaborated with Dirty Sock Effects on a signature Filter pedal, developed in parallel with the new material and designed to mirror the band’s dynamic, unstable approach to sound. The pedal was launched on the 16th of January and is close to being sold out.
Drift will return to the stage on February 21st at The Lansdowne, Sydney, joined by Mycriesfallondeafears, Stirr, and Spouse, performing new material alongside familiar sounds that have shaped their journey. Beyond the stage, the night also features stalls from Dirty Sock Effect, Wanderer Magazine, and Slumber In Your Sorrows offering merch, zines, custom guitar pedals, and more.
“Four Letters” will be available on all major streaming platforms from February 20th, 2026.

Oh man!
I had no idea that they reissued this!
So happy I was able to snag one before they vanished, as there’s only 1000 of them, apparently.
GVSB are one of the great unheralded bands of the #90s . I was able to see them play live TWICE back in the day, and they were incredible. There wasn’t a single album of theirs that I didn’t love.
This was their third album, and their second for Touch And Go, a label I absolutely consumed and lived on back then. This has the magnificent “Kill The Sex Player” on it, a song that also appeared on the soundtrack to Kevin Smith’s CLERKS.
For me, this band’s secret weapon was always their awesome rhythm section.
GREAT drummer (Alexis Fleisig) & bass player (Johnny Temple).
