This afternoon & evening I have mostly been mapping CC functions for Cherry Audio's Mercury-4 to my Novation Zero SL ii & SL49 iii. I do like the Space Echo emulator on it, it's a lot of fun.

If anyone's at all interested, I've got the maps and CC Chart for my mapping, I'm happy to share them.

The only reason I could think of for #upgrading my #Digitakt to a #stereo version is the option to #sample directly from #Nave #softsynth on a tablet computer. Because Digitakt is a class compliant USB host/device it can send MIDI, receive 2ch audio via USB 2.0 connection (via lighting port in my case) and record a stereo sample directly from the synth. I won't be upgrading anytime soon however, at least not before the new Digitakt will fully support the multichannel recording into the computer.

It regularly gets feature updates and enhancements and sounds pretty awesome. I think there's something like 45 virtual instruments in it currently.

Saturday #DailyTracks : Starting now the process of scaling the #Presonus #StudioOne pro curve. Right off the bat handling of #Softsynth multis is the best I've seen in a #DAW. Very versatile. First look at the scoring view lacks a lot of that note head/stem direction wonkiness that plagues many implementations. Ties , rests and subdivisions initially looking very sharp. You have to poke around a bit in the different views to find things. Probably should read the manual...

FSA Latcher: new VST3i "noisebox" synth. Combines an AM/FM oscillator configuration with an Atari Punk Console-style oscillator-triggered monostable. Free/donationware, link in vid description.

Logic-based 'noisebox' synths NANDroid and XORBot have both been updated to V1.01, with the biggest change being that MIDI note value is now available as a modulation source in any of the assignable slots. This change is largely thanks to a user request.
