Story Time:
So today, I was wondering if my custom-built OBS for Linux had any updates. I go into the program, try searching for the "Check For Updates" button under help, and it wasn't there.
What I ended up doing was uninstalling it, grabbing the source code again, getting a new CEF Binary for it, and building the whole thing again before turning it into a debian package.
It turns out that I was building THE SAME VERSION the whole time! I facepalmed because I was expecting updates to the code this year.
Thanks a lot, Hugh Bailey... I thought the source code builds had more frequent support than it really does.

I feel like a lot of developers fear merge conflicts and complexity of "rebase".
That's why projects employ the rebase-merge or rebase+squash-merge workflow.
First of all: That's a unfounded fear.
Second of all: How can you expect your users to trust you w.r.t. professionalism in writing source, when you do not even show them (or have) your professionalism when using the basic tools _for_ writing source code.
Like... everyone is ranting about "AI" producing sub-par code, but then commit histories look like shit all the time with people doing "format fixed", "fixes", "more stuff" commits.
... or, in other words: LEARN TO USE THE TOOL YOU FKNAAAARGGHH MORONS!
