The image is a black and white photograph capturing a moment during what appears to be an outdoor market or gathering. There are five individuals visible, including men, women, and children. They seem engaged in conversation and activities related to the handling of produce. Four baskets filled with round fruits, possibly apples or pears based on their shape and texture, dominate the foreground. These baskets rest on a rough ground surface that looks like dirt or mulch.

In the background, trees can be seen, suggesting an orchard setting. The attire of the individuals is indicative of early to mid-20th-century fashion, with hats for sun protection being prominent among both men and women present in the scene. One woman wearing a patterned dress appears to be sitting on one side of a barrel or container while another stands nearby holding what seems like paper currency.

The composition and monochromatic tones provide context that this photo was likely taken during an era when color photography wasn't as prevalent, possibly capturing everyday rural life in the United States. The presence of baskets filled with produce suggests commerce, perhaps related to agriculture or a local market event specific to fruit harvesting at the time depicted.

Spent the first part of Saturday with a list of errands. Things started off shaky with a failure to get some accounts configured at the bank (they are better prepared / staffed Monday-Friday).

Popped in the mall* to kill time and pick up wired EarPods. The wireless variety fall out of my ears and annoy me when I shake my fist at clouds.

Next was a hunt for a very specific birthday gift at a second hand store and turning up bupkis.

Lunch Torchy’s Tacos afterward eased the disappointment. The Austin-based chain recently opened an outpost in the outer ring burbs of Cincinnati. We understand why it was packed as the tacos and green chile queso were extremely good.

This put us in direct line of appliance stores to check out dishwashers. They’re all silver boxes with slight variations on handle design.

loc.gov/pictures/item/20177707

This is a black and white photograph capturing a moment in time from the early 20th century. It depicts a family of farmers engaged in the process of harvesting peaches in an orchard located near Springdale, Utah. The family consists of a man, a woman, and two young boys. They are all dressed in attire typical for that era, with the men wearing straw hats to shield their eyes from the sun.

The farm is bustling with activity as the peaches are being collected into buckets and barrels. The family appears to be working together to efficiently harvest the crop. Their focus is evident in their postures, suggesting a shared effort to gather the fruit before it's too late or spoils.

The setting is outdoors, with the trees visible in the background, providing a natural backdrop for this family moment. The absence of color and the style of clothing suggest that this image was taken during the early 20th century when such scenes were commonplace in many rural communities across America.

So, with the death of clones, is still going to be a thing?

@doctorwhom @elfin I too did not know about #Springdale until the current ruckus with Red Hat. Going the LFS route does grant you 100% control of what goes into your distro, but then you gotta maintain it yourself. If you think you(or the university) can do that, then definitely go for it!

@elfin

Yea, is a road between Princeton U, & the Institute of Advanced Studies. I drive on it whenever I go to work.

We have discussed what to switch too if we can't continue using it. Hopefully there will be a University wide decision, not a department choice. I thinking: linuxfromscratch.org/
