For #FensterFreitag, the elegant organ of Parroquia de San Nicolás, which almost disappears into the frescoes and Rococo molding behind.

To the left, large church organ high on the wall with dark metallic pipes and gold-colored Rococo metalwork covering their entire frame. Surrounding it and on the wall directly facing viewer are frescoes resembling those of the Sistine Chapel and two small stained glass windows.

#StainedGlass #window in St Ethelbert's Church, Herringswell, #Suffolk U.K. It's a depiction of St. Hubert, patron saint of hunters, archers, and #dogs . St. Hubert (aka Hubertos) is considered to be the originator of ethical hunting behavior for Catholics. His Feast Day is November 3rd.

St. Hubert's story holds that after the death of his wife, the nobleman went to live in the woods. There, he saw a stag with a cross glowing between its horns, and took it as a sign from God.

Photo of a two-panel stained glass window from St Ethelbert's Church in Herringswell, Suffolk, UK.

It depicts St Hubert. In the right panel, a medieval dressed hunter stands with a spear in one hand and a book in the other. Around his head is the glow of a halo. Near his feet is a small brown and white dog. In the left panel, a stag is standing on a hill. Between its large horns is a glowing Christian cross.

I have a thing for stained glass and the strong, deep, beautiful colours. This window is at the Chapel of Magdalen College, Oxford.

Oldies this morning time... A stained glass window from Tintagel taken sometime last century and a rock in County Cork, Ireland (Ciorcal Cloch an Droma Bhig), also from last century. As a Welshman I feel St. George should get in the sea and let the dragons be!

Stained glass window from St. Materiana's Church, Tintagel. It has three panels, with the left panel depicting Cornwall Coat of Arms (15 gold coins) with an angel reading a scroll below. The right hand panel has an unknown ( to me) crest with a crossed key and sword, with an angel below reading a scroll. The centre panel features St. George in armour holding a lance with his Pennon flying (red cross on white background). He is stood over a dragon, and the bottom of the panel contains another crest flanked by a horse and a deer (possibly).A black and white image of one of the two portal stones that form the Ciorcal Cloch an Droma Bhig (Dromberg Stone Circle). The sun is shining and the stones are casting a shadow, left to right. The stone is largely rectangular but the top has been shaped into a scalene triangle with left hand side being steeper and shorter than the right. The natural weathered face of the stone looks almost tree like in B&W with the light and contrast.

Love this stained glass window in one of the former townhouses on University Gardens in the West End of Glasgow.

4/4 - this is the last of the stained glass window shots I took last weekend at Worcester Cathedral. I have saved one for Window Friday.

It is taken with a long exposure of about 1/2 a second, and zooming while it's taken.

I like this one best because the walls of the building are also visible around the window. Shame about the light on the wall on the left causing the streak, but there you go.

A large stained glass window with light streaming through. By zooming while taking the shot it seems that the light is projecting another copy of each pane in the window, into the air in front of it. The walls of the cathedral are just about visible around the window.

3/4 of the stained glass window shots from last weekend at Worcester Cathedral.

A stained glass window from a cathedral. The face of the angel in the very centre is clear, but all the rest of the window has beams of light shooting out, created by zooming the lens as the exposure is taken.

Another stained glass window shot from my trip to Worcester Cathedral at the weekend. Probably post 2/4 of the windows.

I'm not sure if this is the best or the worst of these pictures. It's a bit more erratic than the others, but the figures at the top almost look like they are shooting out of the window, which I liked.

A stained glass window. But the light has a motion blur which makes it appear that three stained glass angels, have flown out of the window. They are above the main window and have trailing lines of light behind them.
