Finally I managed to capture the International Space Station in a a long exposure shot 🛰️🎉. It is clearly visible at the top with a nice star trail as a background just before the dawn.

Decided to do a long exposure shot after the civil dusk. Saturn and Venus are visible in the upper left corner. There is also a satellite or a rocket body visible in the center that I could not identify.

🇬🇧 If there's one thing I love about the United States, it's its deserts.
For me they are unique in the world 🌵✨ That's why we are repeating the trip in 2024. The American Southwest is full of weathered rock formations, creating textures and abstractions that look like something out of another planet 🌍. The undulating, smooth patterns have been formed over thousands of years ⏳.

🇪🇸 Si hay algo que me encanta de Estados Unidos, son sus desiertos.
Para mí son únicos en el mundo 🌵✨ Por eso hemos repetido destino este año. El suroeste americano está lleno de formaciones de roca erosionada, creando texturas y abstracciones que parecen sacadas de otro planeta 🌍. Los patrones ondulantes y suaves se han formado durante miles de años ⏳.

I went to see a big rock and all I got was 128 photos of a big rock 🪨✨📷

During an after hours tour, I snuck away to set up the camera in the quiet spot. Uluru-Kata Tjuta national park is otherwise closed between sunset and sunrise.

This needed rather a lot of work to fix and replace overexposed foregrounds courtesy of traffic and a TV crew with flood lights (!!!) but I think it turned out okay. Next holiday in that direction must be during a new Moon.

Die Mittagspausensichtung der Aufnahmen von heute Nacht ergab: keine Perseiden. Ich kann aber vermelden, dass die Erde sich noch immer dreht.

(Was der helle Strich von rechts oben nach links unten im unteren linken Drittel des Bilds ist kann ich nicht sagen. Was es auch immer war: es war langsam, da es auf sechs 15 Sekunden Frames zu sehen war. Durch das Blending ist ein guter Teil der Erscheinung ausgewaschen worden.

Obviously those are often shot towards Polaris in the Northern hemisphere.
Although loking at this... it seems to be not just for the cool spiraling effect, but because the Galactic Centre makes the whole thing look wonky. XD
