I'm thinking that I never shared my bell tower finished. It was a cool project to make, though a really slow one 😅

ps: believe or not, this is not a sneak peak on my blood Knights in progress 🤣

I was about to throw away some grey plastic packaging when I noticed an interesting texture, so I kept just that part.

Not really celtic knots pattern but close enough for dwarvish #TabletopTerrain...

Montage : top = grey plastic packaging of irregular shapes ; bottom : 2X10cm rectangle of grey plastic with bas-relief pattern and a dwarf mage miniature for scale.

And finished another terrain piece from the backlog. An old ruins piece from Warhammer Fantasy meant to represent a ruined Wizard’s tower. Unfortunately it was too big for my lightbox so sorry for the photo quality lol.

Views of the roof area of Mik's mech shop.

There's little cover at the rear with only a railing, but reasonable cover along the sides, and the huge billboard to hide behind at the front.

I placed two boxes against the sign that would allow views over it.
I also made some scatter terrain that can be used up here or elsewhere.

Miniature for scale.

Hahaha a little bit of fun, but also I knocked out another quick piece of scenery, specifically part of the ruins included from the old 40k 3rd edition starter set 😁.

More from the broken bell tower.

Inside, I wanted to show lighting effects. I painted the majority dark, so that the lit areas stood out.
The light on the middle floor is off and following the wire you find it cut off at the broken wall. The other light shows a clearly lit area underneath.

Up top, the vanes that direct the bell's sound are painted in verdigris to show it's age.

And around the bottom, outside, there is some #Batman themed graffiti.

A large colourful "Odessa" is accompanied by some Ukrainian "Здравствуй моя Мурка и прощай!!!"

Which means 'Hello my <Morka> and goodbye for ever!'
Traditional Odessian cold-blooded stuff. This stems from a time when it was said to a woman who had betrayed a gang.

However, my Dyslexia led to a typo, and there was no hope for me to notice it.

There is also "Where is the Bat?" referring to Batman.

and "Ivy" "no it's not" with the paint trailling off as if they had died from poison ivy. As a reference to the character Poison Ivy.

The lower half of the broken statue rests on the cracked paving slabs, leaving a narrow path between itself and the plinth.

This was the entryway for the attackers who breached the wooden part of the barricade.

My son got a computer for his bday a couple of weeks ago, and we're finally getting around to taking all the packaging down to the #recycling station. As I was gathering it all up, i noticed these big black plastic foam sections that were put in the box to hold and protect the computer tower.

My #DungeonMaster goblin brain instantly thought "terrain!" when I looked at them, so I've spent some time today with an exacto knife, making modular #ttrpg dungeon bits. Ive still got plenty of the foam left, but even with the small amount I have already cut up, me and the kids were still able to throw this fun little map together in a couple of minutes.

Any ideas for some useful pieces I should try to make with what Ive got left?

More views of this UFO crash.

The shape of the UFO was built from a collection of the weirdest-shaped pieces of junk from my "pile".

Deliberately stuck together to form the most non-symmetrical shape I could.

I then added wires and putty "hoses", and then brought it all together with epoxy putty.

I magnetised the "waist" of the multi-ped forklift, mainly for ease of storage etc. but it does mean it can rotate.

The central cylinder of the "hips" is an empty Humbrol metal paint pot.
Therefore I only needed a single magnet on the bottom of the cab structure to complete the job.

I added a guide rail and pegs so that the cab rotates in place.

Junkube strikes again...

Under the cube, the base started as a cardboard stand.
To that I added tissue/PVA to stick it all together and start forming the shape.
Plus added the "loose" junk pieces.

The electric arcs were added with a 3D printing pen.
Attachment points and the tips of the base were strenghthened with epoxy putty.
That was all covered with more tissue/PVA to tie it together.

And then I added my basing mix and it was ready for paint.

The roof of the Hut on Mound was made from card pieces.

That includes separate, individually-placed tiles.

The whole thing just sits on top of the walls, nothing fancy.

While it is called the Sprue Hut, it's not all plastic sprue.

The tattered remains of an awning is made from some climbing tape.

The base is a CD covered in tissue/PVA. Sprinkled with dried paint/etc. and the shattered pot is select pieces of dried paint.

The roof is sheets of card with putty rivets.

Everything else is sprue.
