I do with that #Microsoft would sponsor/develop tighter integration (more open extensive API) between #Office365 #Outlook/Calendar/ToDo/Groups/#Teams and external clients.

#Thunderbird with #TbSync only goes so far. (Even meeting support is not 100%, AFAICT)

I do not want to log on through the browser *just* to like an email, and avoid sending unnecessary emails...

I believe that if you give people the freedom on how to interact with you, they may be more willing to interact.

Habe mir die Sache noch mal genau angesehen. Offensichtlich werden weder der Provider, noch #Tbsync für das Synchronisieren mit #CalDav und #CardDav gebraucht. Meine #Nextcloud #Kalender lassen sich problemlos synchronisieren. Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit #Exchange?

@harre From my experience, you’ll never get #Thunderbird to work perfectly with #Microsoft365. I pay for the #Owl extension, which is glitchy with calendars, and donate a little to #TBSync (GAL contacts and calendar invitations don’t work) in hopes that they will eventually get it 100% right. But I’m stubborn, so I keep at it. I would never recommend it to anyone that just wants an email client that just works out of the box.

Avec #Logseq, je contourne l’empêchement des mises à jour des extensions avec la commande

Ah au fait, si votre carnet de contacts dans #thunderbird 102.6 ne se synchronise pas ou plus avec votre carnet de contacts #nextcloud 25, que la synchro s'effectue habituellement avec #tbsync 4.3 via "Provider CalDAV & CardDAV" 4.3, hében dans les paramètres du compte TBsync, désactivez la prise en charge du mode hors ligne. Ca marche pour moi. Par contre attention car pour désactiver le mode hors ligne il faut aussi désactiver le plugin TBsync,et là, toutes infos non synchronisées sont perdues

@thunderbird If anyone’s still checking, the working fix for the #TbSync #Exchange provider is posted as a ZIP in https://github.com/jobisoft/EAS-4-TbSync/issues/215#issuecomment-1416725608. Last I checked it hadn’t hit the addon source. But if you’re in a hurry, it’s available.

If you are using #thunderbird and you want to sync #exchange contacts and #calendar, I use the #tbsync plugin

The Z-Push ActiveSync interface of my employer's #Kopano is that slow at times (of load), that I added IMAP for mails now. And that's way faster on my mobile.

[Oh, and it's the same way my @thunderbird works. And I really like that due to the amazing work of John Bieling who authored #TbSync, implementing #ActiveSync.]

Hat jemand hier Erfahrung mit #Nextcloud und #TBSync in #Thunderbird? Nachdem ich jetzt (endlich) 2FA in der Nextcloud aktiviert habe, bekommt TBSync den login nicht mehr hin. Fehlermeldung: password login forbidden

After patiently waiting I received the #thunderbird update to 102 today on my Ubuntu.

Unfortunately #tbsync is not compatible

Linux im beruflichem Umfeld ist einsetzbar! Beispiel: Mobile Surfstation mit Teams, OneDrive #Office365 auf einem #SurfaceGo (Version 1) mit Manjaro Linux (KDE). Notizen werden mit #Kate in Text-Dateien gespeichert und mittels #OneDrive synchronisiert. Kate merkt sich die offenen Tabs. #Email und #Kalender mittels #Thunderbird ( #CardBook #TbSync Addon). #OneDrive mittels Script (abraunegg) abgeglichen. #Onboard zeigt Touch Keyboard.

Liebe Community,
wir wurden beruflich zum Umstieg auf MS Exchange gezwungen und würden gerne Thunderbird als Client weiternutzen.
E-Mail Umstellung war (entgegen der Auskunft unserer IT) machbar und läuft.
Eigene Kalender laufen auf den ersten Blick über #TbSync und #ProviderFürExchangeActiveSync gut.

Aber: geteilte Kalender klappen nicht. Und das wäre der Genickbruch für die Nutzung von #thunderbird

Hat jemand Tipps/Lösungen?

Ahh.. there it is! just struggled 15 minutes searching #Thunderbird for the "Add-on options". Turns out that the "Tools" menu hidden under the 3 bars in top right corner do not have the same menu items, as the old-school "Tools" menu that appears at top when pressing left-Alt
Now on to configuring #tbsync for #nextcloud

Meine dienstlichen Mails, Termine und Kontakte verwalte ich mit #Thunderbird, ebenfalls von @mozilla . "Danke!" insbesondere an John Bieling, dessen freies Plugin "#TbSync" die Synchronisierung mit dem #Kopano-Portal meiner Arbeitgeberin ermöglicht. #ilovefs
