Can anyone tell me whether #Kaios #featurephone support #CardDav and #CalDav?
They are two "killer feature" that make me leave #Nokia #SymbianOS years ago.
I am so done with #nextcloud. I will set up a #webdav, #caldav and #carddav stack later using #dockercompose and enjoy it ten times more. Until Stalwart implements them, this will do.

Migration von EMails, Kalender und Kontakten durchgeführt. Dies mit 2 Accounts und 2 Domains.
Hab nun mal mit dem Thunderbird als Outlook Ersatz gestartet, auch aufm Mobile. Bezüglich #CalDav und #CardDav habe ich ne Steile lernkurve hinter mir (https://infosec.exchange/@hosebei/114331150280919695).
Aufm Mobile bin ich nun mit DAVx5 sehr zufrieden, macht was es soll.
Offen ist nun noch die PSTN anbindung, aber das eilt ja nicht.

We'd recommend to test-migrate your existing data to a local filesystem storage first, and swap in your new storage only when syncing to the test storage worked without errors.
To protect yourself against migration blunders, mark your source storage (platform) as read_only and let it "win" in your conflict_resolution setting.
For address book pairs, you can also sync the "displayname" and "description" metadata – for calendar pairs, additionally "color" and "order".

Gerade durch Zufall entdeckt, ich hatte es bereits aufgegeben.
With Mozilla launching Thundermail as a mail provider and knowing the intend to use Stalwart as server implementation, I really hope we start seeing more wide adoption of JMAP. SMTP, IMAP, CalDAV and CardDAV ara really showing its age and limitations.

You probably want #Kontact. You can set up the *DAVs in the #KOrganiser & #KAddressBook components. Note I run #Nextcloud, and #KOrganiser will add both the #CalDAV & #CardDAV at the same time to both apps. These apps can be run separately, or seamlessly as part of #Kontact - up to you.
It will handle the multiple accounts easily (I currently have four), but only two identities.
Problem mit #kolab und #roundcube: Bei #CardDAV gehen die Kategorien verloren.
Wenn ich vCards 3.0 über Roundcube importiere mit "Gruppenzuordnungen importieren: Alle (erstellen wenn nötig)", dann werden die Kategorien als Gruppen fein angelegt. Und wenn ich sie über Roundcube exportiere sind die Kategorien da.
Aber wenn ich mit CardBook dann auf das Adressbuch zugreife, bekomme ich keine Kategorien. (Probiert mit vCard-Format 3.0 und 4.0.)
Hat jemand Ideen, wie man das lösen könnte?
Leider ist das System beim Provider, so dass ich nicht selbst an der Konfig spielen kann.

je cherche un moyen d’enrichir mon carnet de contact avec des infos comme, untel travail pour cette association et pour cette entreprise, et aussi cette personne connaît cette personne.
J’aimerai que ce soit structuré.
En fait on peut faire ça avec l’appli contacts qui utilise #carddav et les #vcard , mais ça reste une approche très 'texte' et pas 'base de données'. #bdd
Si vous avez des idées où des outils je suis preneur. :)

@ndw I've been a happy customer of #Fastmail (they're on Mastodon, too: @fastmail) since January 2018, and can comfortably recommend them if you're looking for a solid email host.
They're based in #Australia, and have full support for #IMAP, #CalDAV, #CardDAV, as-well as #JMAP if your tool(s) supports that. I like that they only do email and do it well. No ever-expanding product suite of tools I don't really need, nor any confusion on who the customer is. Nice and straight-forward :).
iPhone und Mac, eine starke Kombination, die mit der Synchronisierung über Geräte hinweg zusätzlich Nutzen stiftet.
Apple sagt, dass niemand auf die Daten der Nutzer zugreifen könne, noch nicht einmal Apple selbst. Dennoch liegen die eigenen Daten auf fremden Servern und sind der Kontrolle entzogen.
Dem gilt es Abhilfe zu schaffen ohne auf Funktionalität zu verzichten.

I just realized I could move my calendar and contacts from #Fastmail to #SynologyNAS now. Because iPhones support #CalDav and #CardDav out of the box without any third party apps!
Yes, I know there is #davx5 for #Android. I used it for #Fastmail calendar and contacts sync, but it just doesn’t feel stable enough for such a critical data.
Yes, I know you hadn’t any issues with it 5 years in a row. Still.

Egal welcher deutsche Emailanbieter: das Protokoll wird unterstützt und sofort ist dein Adressbuch und Kalender synchron. beim jeweiligen Anbieter gibts meistens eine Anleitung mit der Serversadresse. Irgendwie will es nicht synchronisieren bei mir.
TIL or relearned that the #Cyrus mailserver I use for decades can also act as #caldav and #carddav server. Even #webdav is supported all including its acl system. @davx5app works instant but as stated otherwise my #iphone from which I want to migrate does not connect. So plan B is to connect #davx5 to icloud and migrate that way. Am stil wondering what I'm doing wrong nevertheless
