I respect people who are into TM, David Lynch is my primary hero in life afterall, but my God John Hagelin in these campaign interviews I've watched for the Natural Law Party comes off as like not even a good conman, really mid-tier in his fantasy math about TM eliminating repeat offenders or preventative care being the main health care reform we need.
Spending my morning struggling my way through a half hour interview with John Hagelin of the Natural Law Party during the 2000 election. So little he's talked about is actually about policy rather than candidate recruitment, ballot access, and the vague idea of "natural law". Not my favorite research topic for my future third party podcast.
As I research various third party movements for a podcast I'm planning to launch when my school requirements are less than right now about the history of the concept, I've been putting off the Libertarians but this extended two and half extra days away from school I'm gonna try to consume speeches and interviews from FIVE nominees including Ron Paul, Harry Browne, and Michael Badnarik. Gonna be an interesting way to spend Thanskgiving.

Straight from TFCon Chicago, it's Rosanna and Flip Sides! (aka Ocular Max Remix Melody and Harmony) These two ladies are obviously based on the Masterpiece-scale mold for Autobot cassettes Rewind and Eject, and transform from roughly six-inch robots (same as a CHUG deluxe) into full-size C60 cassettes.
The mold looks great, but it's not perfect. The comic-accurate shoulder pauldrons completely impair articulation at the shoulders, plus they're nearly impossible to remove if you put them on all the way. (They need to be removed to transform to cassette mode.) And the legs don't angle inward or have any ankle tilt, so it's hard to put Rosanna into dancing poses.
As display pieces, though, these are exactly what I wanted for my shelf of lady bots.

Some folks may recall my anger on August 18 over a vendor who wasn't responding to alerts about exposing their clients' data. The data included court files or records that were confidential or even sealed. At the time, researchers had discovered two entities that were exposed. They subsequently discovered more.
Yesterday, the vendor -- who had even ignored a call from the FBI -- finally secured one of the two after the client finally reached them on the phone.
The vendor told them they had fixed the problem. But did they?
[SPOILER ALERT: No.]
You won't believe what happened next, or maybe you will, but you'll have to stay tuned for this story, which has now gotten astronomically bigger because not only were the data still not secured but the vendor -- after claiming that the researchers had used hacking techniques to access unsecured data -- inexplicably sent the client a list of ALL of vendor's clients with their technical details AND ALL OF THEIR LOGIN CREDENTIALS.
[WTF!?]
I have never been as tempted to issue an actual press release warning all entities about a specific vendor, but... wow.
Stay tuned. Eventually, I will write this all up, but first, I want to hear what the client's lawyers and insurers decide to do to hold the vendor accountable.

This is the first HIPAA-regulated entity I've seen report that they were affected by the #Salesforce campaign.
They report that 2,095 people were affected, but the elements they report could be just PII, so I'm not sure if it's patient data or not.
I've reached out to HHS to ask whether they have been getting any reports related to Salesforce, but let's see if they answer me.
