Cllr Fletcher rises to say it's been almost a year since an incident in her ward where a contractor working on the Ontario Line, going off their approved route, hit a pedestrian with their truck. She says Concerned Citizens™ making angry phone calls to Metrolinx shouldn't be what's keeping people safe.
Cllr Bravo says that people in nearby newly built condos are complaining about the noise of the nearby Ontario Food Terminal. Who the fuck are these people moving into places without seeing if there is parking or a giant fucking wholesale produce centre nearby
She also points out that in the turbulent times that are no doubt ahead, the ability to do things like manufacture our own vaccines will be increasingly important.
