Dusk trees and sky at Bald Knob. The image is predominantly trees in partial silhouette in fading evening light, a series of large mature trees running diagonally down from the left, a gap and a single very large eucalypt on the right. Enough light remains for the scene to be composed of muted dark greens. Behind the trees, the sky to the left is the faintest pink cloud, while on the right it is clear eggshell blue. Through the gap in the trees a misty plain and dam can be dimply seen.

Looking down a steep heavily timbered slope, across a valley that's obscured by trees, to a hazily visible wooded hillside beyond. Most of the image is taken up by a profusion of different tree and shrub species, some flowering, in various shades of green and khaki.
