This past weekend I met up with @morgancarmont to go explore the forests of #VancouverIsland. To say we had an epic weekend would be an understatement.

Amongst our many adventures, we found a new #oldgrowthforest to explore and I had to take a photo in front of one - the size of them is just incomprehensible otherwise. For reference, I am over 187cm tall. This single Big Leaf Maple is easily 5m+ diameter at its base.

An enormous Big Leaf Maple, easily 10m diameter at the base. I stand 187cm tall, and the nearby branch is nearly as thick as I am tall. It's incredible to see this behemoths still in nature.

“Home sweet home” • Orlando, Golden pothos vine

Golden pothos, AKA “devil’s ivy,” can grow up to 40ft tall (12m) and is noted for its air purifying trait. NASA did a study and found it can even potentially eliminate formaldehyde. It originated from South East Asia and the Solomon Islands, and now lives as house plants and tree adornments globally.
